Influenza, or the flu, can be a deadly virus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) estimate that during every flu season in the United States since 2010, influenza has resulted in:

  • 9 million – 45 million illnesses
  • 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations
  • 12,000 – 61,000 deaths

A great deal of that disease burden could have been prevented with a simple flu shot.

At our CCBH clinics, we offer the flu shot so that you and your family can be protected throughout the flu season.

Walk-in flu clinics

Each year in October and November at the beginning of flu season, we hold walk-in clinics. This year walk in vaccines will be provided outside to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission. Visit us during these times:

Parma clinic at 5550 Venture Drive – every Wednesday from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Warrensville Heights clinic at South Pointe Hospital, 20000 Harvard Avenue – every Friday from 830 a.m. to noon. By appointment only- to ensure proper social distancing in our office.

Walk-ins are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please wear a mask when attending a flu clinic.

During the remainder of flu season, we also accept walk-in appointments or we can schedule a time for you to come in for your flu shot.

Please call us at 216.201.2041 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to make your appointment.

No insurance? No problem. CCBH has affordable options for clients lacking current medical coverage.

Tips to stay healthy during flu season

  • Wash your hands often
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow, not your hand, when coughing or sneezing
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Avoid close contact with sick people
  • Stay home from work or school if you are sick
