Accomplishments of our CLAS Committee
CLAS principles are now considered and implemented where appropriate in the development of all CCBH policies.
We work with community leaders to find ways to improve the delivery of our services.
Staff attends training sessions to increase their awareness of CLAS-related themes, such as the “Bridges Out of Poverty” program which showed how poverty affects our work in the community.
Sought employee input in the development of topics for future training lessons.
Translation of many commonly-used documents into Spanish because it is the second most popular language in Cuyahoga County.
Use of the Language Line, a phone based system that allows us to speak to community members in the language of their choice. Documents can also be translated from English into other languages to make communication easier.
