School Health Programs

School Health Program Services

Healthy children are better learners. Make sure your child knows how important:

  • 8-10 hours of sleep each night
  • A healthy breakfast
  • 30-60 minutes of exercise daily
  • A yearly doctor exam and a dental exam every 6 months
  • Hand washing

We provide contracted nursing services.   Schools receiving services include:

First aid and emergency care

  • Control long term health problems such as asthma, diabetes, etc.
  • Study illnesses such as flu, staph, etc.
  • Lice checks
  • Vision, hearing, posture, and weight screenings
  • Keep track of health records
  • Giving medication
  • Health teaching
  • Helping to build new health policies
  • Training school personnel
  • Community resources to parents and students

School-Based Dental Sealant Program

  • Sealants stop cavities and decay from forming
  • Free sealants for 2nd and 6th grade students
  • Follow up for 3rd and 7th grades students
