The Ohio Sewage Disposal Rules require septage haulers to register in every county they work in
on an annual basis. The CCBH Sewage Treatment System Rules define a
septage hauler as "one who engages in the collection,
transportation, disposal and land application of domestic septage". Prior to initiating work
each year, each septage hauler must register with the Board of Health. Each pumping vehicle
must also be permitted. Details related to the registration process and the timely submittal
of pumping information can be found in Sections 4 and 4.2 of the CCBH Sewage Treatment System
Rules. Additional information can be obtained through the links provided below.
