2009 Health and Land Use Summit
Where we live, work, and play impacts our health.  The way our cities and towns are developed and the way our land is used contribute to the epidemic rates of chronic disease and impact the quality of life of our residents.

The purpose of the Health and Land Use Summit was to explore partnership opportunities to promote the integration of health into land use planning and development county-wide.
The Summit objectives include:
  1. Develop a common understanding of the link between social, economic, and environmental conditions and health outcomes.
  2. Outline shared priorities and key obstacles to creating a common vision for healthy and equitable land use in Cuyahoga County.
  3. Provide opportunities for networking to foster cross collaboration.

Unnatural Causes
At the fall 2009 Summit the Unnatural Causes “Place Matters” segment was viewed.  Unnatural Causes is a seven part documentary series exploring racial & socioeconomic inequalities in health. For more information about Unnatural Causes go to: http://www.unnaturalcauses.org/
