The Partnership- CCPTRThe Cuyahoga County Comprehensive Partnership for Tobacco Reduction (CCPTR)Tobacco Free School InitiaveCurrently in Ohio, only students are prohbited from using or possessing tobacco products on school premises. It is up to the individual school districts to regulate tobacco use by staff and visitors on school grounds. A website has been created to assist school districts in establishing a 100% tobacco free policy. The website has information about "The Movement" towards tobacco free schools in Cuyahoga County. School-based programming includes intergrating a
research-validated prevention program (Life Skills). Life Skills is a comprehensive 15
sessions 50 minute research-validated prevention program proven to reduce the risk of
alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence.
