School-based programming
School-based programming includes intergrating a research-validated prevention program (Life
Skills) and an established school-based prevention program (Word of Mouth). Life Skills is a
comprehensive 15 sessions 50 minute research-validated prevention program proven to reduce
the risk of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence. Word of Mouth ®
(WOM)is a 4 session 40 minute established school-based tobacco prevention program developed by the
American Lung Association design to reduce youth initiation of tobacco use.
