Maximizing Office Based Immunization Program (MOBI)Many children living in Cuyahoga County are under immunized. Rapid introduction of new vaccines, new combinations and new schedules of administration can cause confusion among providers and parents. Along with compliance issues and vaccine misconceptions, keeping children up to date on vaccinations is a challenge for both urban and suburban practices. The Cuyahoga County Board of Health offers the Maximizing Office Based Immunization program (MOBI), a free and confidential immunization in-office assessment and education program designed to improve preschool immunization rates. This program provides Continuing Education Units and Continuing Medical Education credits to staff and has been proven to show a marked increase in immunization rates in practices. MOBI is free to all Ohio health care providers and presents practical information which health care providers and their staff can use to achieve the complete and timely immunizations of infants and young children in Ohio. MOBI trainers are nurses from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health experienced in immunization practices and enthusiastic about bringing this valuable information to you. By keeping providers updated on the constant changes and challenges of vaccination, this program can help providers make significant improvements in the immunization status of the population.
