Nuisances

Environmental conditions which may be considered a hazard to public health may not always be addressed by mandated or permitted programs.  Such conditions may be addressed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health nuisance program.  Some examples may include improper storage of garbage, accumulation of animal wastes, rodents, and mold and moisture problems.  Investigations are conducted to determine whether a public health nuisance exists.  Abatement of nuisances are pursued to properly correct any such conditions.

Suspect nuisance conditions are assigned to a sanitarian based on the community in which the condition is located.

A nuisance may be reported to the Cuyahoga County Board of Health through our Contact Page.
