Public Health Nurses focus their expertise on the tiniest babies in Cuyahoga County, micro-preemies born under 1,000 grams. They work closely with the family and an interdisciplinary team to help the family in meeting the goals they have identified for their child. Public Health Nurses provide service coordination and make home visits. They are able to identify and connect families to medical providers, developmental specialists and other community resources as well as provide the support and advocacy that a family may need if their child has special health and developmental needs.
