Fruits and Veggies - More Matters

We all know that fruits and vegetables add important nutrition to our diets. But how much should we eat? And how can we make this nutrition stuff easier, tastier and more enjoyable? To answer these and other questions, Produce for Better Health Foundation offers the Fruits & Veggies—M ore Matters® health initiative.  In simple, user-friendly ways, the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters health initiative offers expert cooking advice, nutrition information and shopping tips. Most importantly, this program demonstrates that eating MORE fruits and vegetables does matter to all of us.  It’s a great way to stay healthy and a perfect fit for busy lives.

Make A Commitment…to Fruits and Vegetables!

September is Fruits & Veggies—More Matters® Month … so, celebrate! Add one more. Try something new. Educate yourself. Teach the kids. Try a new recipe. Advise other parents. Just pledge to do something .

More than 90 percent of both adults and children do not eat the amount of fruits and vegetables recommended by the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans. But eating more is easy, especially since all forms … fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100% juice … count toward your daily intake!
