Be Food Safe

Overview
The Be Food Safe award program promotes food safety in restaurants, grocery stores and other food services. Be Food Safe award winners are promoted on our web site and in our annual city newsletters.
Use the map to find food restaurants and grocery stores by city. You can also use the larger map link below to see a listing of food facilities.
To win a Be Food Safe award, a food establishment must meet these guidelines:
- Have no critical violations (those violations that carry a greater risk of foodborne illness)
- Maintain a comprehensive quality assurance plan
- Have at least 1 person per shift with food safety training(certified) during all operating hours
- Demonstrate exemplary compliance with the Ohio Revised Food Code
These guidelines must be continuously upheld to maintain Be Food Safe status.
If at any time they are not being upheld, the Be Food Safe award may be revoked.
New to the program is a self nomination option. Operators can nominate a Facility for "Be Food Safe" recognition award.
